I thought I would post these interesting pictures of an SR22 that I had found on the internet, that had accumulated some serious ice while flying. What is even more amazing is how well the TKS de-icing system worked! TKS is an inadvertent system that is designed to help give pilots more time to get out of icing once they find themselves in it. This is NOT FIKI (flight into known icing), but a great tool just in case you start picking up ice! I'm guessing that if the pilot would not have had TKS, the outcome of ice like this probably wouldn't have been good
